Yes! I am still here. I honestly can’t believe it’s been since November that I have blogged on here. What have I been up to? Well, let’s see:

  1. I moved (AGAIN)
  2. I got a promotion/new job at work.
  3. I’ve gone on 6 first dates
  4. Test drove 1 car
  5. Had a birthday
  6. Got 2 police tickets (neither of them speeding)
  7. Bought new living room furniture (bookcase and entertainment console)
  8. Been on an airplane 10 times
  9. Finally visited the great city of Chicago
  10. Leg-pressed 180 pounds

So, there you have it. An update on my life!

Ah. It’s almost Fall, and in Texas, it’s finally starting to cool down. I’m not sure how long it will last. Most of the time, at least my 25 years experience of it, it fakes you out. You think you are in for Fall to begin and then, BAM, 100 degrees again. But when Fall arrives, so do the Cowboys! Working for a big corporation, we somehow luck out with tickets to local events. And so last Thursday, we were among the other Cowboy fans watching a preseason game. Amazingly, T.O showed up and played! The game was a lot of fun and surreal. After seeing them on t.v. only for so long, it was cool to actually see them in person.

And hopefully, the Boys will pull off an amazing season. I’m looking forward to it.

So my mom asks, are you going to update your blog? Well, Mom, this post is for you!

Some days works is fine. And some days, well, it just really sucks. And today is a day that just sucked. I do enjoy my job for the most part and all that I am learning. It’s a great stepping-stone to build on, for sure. But some days, I want to run out of there just screaming. I deal with this one grocery store chain, who’s name will remain nameless, that thinks more of themselves than what they truly are. They gripe about the way I do my contracts and new items and this and that, but don’t tell us how they’d rather us do them…until TODAY. What a concept! Dr. Phil always says, ‘You can’t change what you don’t awknowledge.” TRUE! If you don’t tell me what I need to change, I can’t change it and make it better. If you tell me what I can do to make your like/work easier, than I can make it happen. It’s that easy. I’ve learned that not everyone can exactly tell you what it is they want. COOL. But in the meantime, don’t gripe about it then!

So today I came home beat, tired, frustrated, discombobulated.

In other news, this is the week of sporting events. I recently met this guy,  and we have a ton of sporting events to go to. I love it! We have two Rangers games along with one Cowboys pre-season game. Neither of us have gone to a Cowboys game, so we are quite excited.
So, Mom, there you go. I updated it!
