They met in college at what was once Southwest Texas…
after 2 kids, 5 dogs, and way too many moves to count…
they celebrate their 31st anniversary.
Happy Anniversary!
We had a whirlwind weekend. My cousin got married in Houston and with the wedding happening on Sunday morning and with the time change, talk about a busy weekend. Saturday was fill with 3 parties to attend back to back. The wedding went off with a few minor issues, but it was gorgeous. My cousin looked stunning. And I hope that right now she is relaxing on the beach and not having to deal with some famous MIL issues!
My MRI results came back. I have exertional compartment syndrome. My doctor recommended massage therapy to see if that would help and reduce the inflammation before he recommends surgery. I hope it doesn’t come down to that. So in the meantime, my massage therapist recommended some things for me to do to help.
Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope that you had a great Christmas. Santa brought me lots of goodies. I ‘cleaned up’, as McDuff puts it.
I had to attach a photo of Dora and me. McDuff was gone visiting family, and so I got to hang out with my parents, brother and his girlfriend. We had a great time. I will be extremely happy when McDuff is back in town.
The Cowboy’s game sucked. Go figure. I lost interest in the 4th quarter. Despite that, have a Happy New Year!
Yes…I know. It’s been a while.
I am in my new apartment. It’s quiet. I don’t hear construction. I sometimes hear my neighbors in the morning as their bathroom is right next to mine. Not a problem. It’s quiet. Did I mention that no one is walking above me? No high heels! No dogs running around! I’m on the top floor! YAY! I don’t hear construction in the morning. It’s quiet. And it’s big. Well, big for me.
I am cooking more. I like my kitchen here. Eating out gets old and gross. It’s not good for us. It’s just not. When I cook, I cook healthy.
The Mavs are up by 9. Go Boys. I’m glad Dirk is able to play tonight. Make that 12. Dirk just made a 3 pointer. Go Dirkie boy!
Mom, Dad and I went to visit my grandparents today. It was a good, but short visit. They can’t tolerate guests for too long. So we got up early, parents picked me up, and off we went to Burnet. We got home around 6. I never get to see them enough. They live only 4 hours away, but it’s a day trip when I go. If it’s overnight, it’s with an Austin friend of mine or just drive back that day. It was good to exchange Christmas gifts with them and talk with them for a while.
Tomorrow my brother and his girlfriend are coming in town. That should be fun! I haven’t seen him in a while. I always like to see him, even if we do fight. It’s all in good fun. Well, not really fun, but we still love each other after it is over with!
Well, Merry Christmas. MERRY CHRISTMAS! Did you hear me?! MERRY CHRISTMAS. Not Happy Holidays. MERRY CHRISTMAS! ![]()
…she looks so sweet…
…she looks a little sneaky…
…she looks like she’s been digging for moles…
…she looks so squishy…
…she looks so lovingly towards her sister…

I’m getting ready to move…AGAIN. While I can’t wait to be in my new apartment, with my new LCD HDTV and Christmas decorations, packing is the pits. So far I’ve packed: books, DVDs, VHS tapes, frames, half of my decorative knick-knacks, towels, sheets and some pillows. Sound like a lot, well, it doesn’t look like it!
I’m having to start packing early because my last week here, I’ll be in San Antonio for work. So for most of this week, I’ll be packing and doing laundry.
Oh yay!
Anyone want to help?
Thanksgiving was great…3 dogs: Dora, Thelma and Gramp’s new puppy Mandy. It was quite interesting and quite entertaining.
Back to work tomorrow.
I like my living area quiet and when I come home from a busy day at work, I look forward to the quietness of my apartment.
Oh wait, who am I kidding? I come home to construction workers working on 2 new apartment buildings that are going on on either side of me.
There is dirt every where.
Guys every where. And not the hot kind.
Music booming at the pool. Yes, it’s October and people are still at the pool here in Texas.
All is fine until my obnoxious upstairs neighbor comes home. I know when she is home. I know when she leaves. She likes to walk around the place in her high heels. It’s like someone is nailing into my ceiling. She drops things. She plays fetch with her dog. It’s like a snow sled is being drug across my ceiling.
Some mornings, early mornings, it’s like she falls out of bed. THUD! She slams doors. She slams cabinets.
The best part is Saturday mornings. I wake up to construction at 8 am. 8 am! It’s my ONE day to sleep in and it is interrupted by “beep, beep, beep, beep!” Or “cling, cling, cling, cling!”
I’m moving. I can’t take it. Sorry Mom and Dad. I’m moving when my lease is up in December.

It has been 6 years since I’ve last updated this website; so I’ve made some changes. I’ll be putting a link to my old site that contains my music and whatnot. I also plan on adding a photo gallery for those who want to not only read, but see what I’m up to.
A lot has changed since the web has last seen me. I’ve graduated from college (that was about 4 years ago now), I’ve moved about 200 times (Mom&Dad refuse to help me move again, God bless them), I’ve gone on about 100 million dates (a lot of nice, great guys; some were just great, free meals) and have changed jobs until I have settled down into one I love. I’ve fallen in love and had my heart broken into a million pieces, learned how to fight for what I want and learned how to give up when I see myself not winning.
But through it all, I’ve learned how to bounce.
Have you had to bounce? You know, continue to pick yourself back up after being knocked to the ground. It sucks. Nothing too hard has killed me yet.
I am resilant.
